The passing of Sheila Gwendolyn Elliott, a beloved Dawsonville resident, has left a profound impact on her family and community. Born on August 22, 1951, to the late Herbert and Bobbie Goswick, Sheila was a pillar of strength and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on those around her.
Sheila's life was a testament to her unwavering commitment to her family and her passions. As a co-owner of Ernie Elliott, Inc., she demonstrated a remarkable work ethic and a deep sense of responsibility. Her love for music, cooking, and travel enriched her life and inspired those around her.
Sheila's legacy is carried on by her husband of 55 years, Ernie Elliott, and their children, Julie and Matthew Hamby, Nicki Elliott and Brad Davis. She is also survived by her sister, Linda G. Townley, and a host of grandchildren, including Chris and Brianna Hamby, Emma Hamby, Devin Knight, Elizabeth Knight, and Sarah Knight. These relationships were the heart of her life, and her love for them was boundless.
The family will receive friends at Bearden Funeral Home on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Sawnee View Gardens, marking the final farewell to a life well-lived.
