Former South Carolina Gamecock and NFL player Jadeveon Clowney was arrested in Rock Hill on Sept. 12.According to a police report, the incident happened at the Dunbar Place Apartments when Clowney attempted to park at the complex the night of a nearby high school football game.The police report said an officer was working an off-duty assignment at the complex with the duty of preventing nonresidents from parking at the complex during the football game.In the report, officers said a car driven by Clowney entered the complex, and when questioned by officers, Clowney said he was probably going to the game, but stated he was going to see his aunt, who lived at the complex.Officers said in the report, Clowney was told if he didn't live at the complex, he would not be allowed to park there.Officers reported that he became argumentative and questioned the officer's authority to tow his vehicle.The report said officers told Clowney he was being trespassed from the complex and requested to see his identification.Officers reported that Clowney refused to provide his identification.The report continued, at that point, officers told Clowney he was being arrested for trespassing and failure to identify.Clowney played for the South Carolina Gamecocks before being the No. 1 draft pick in 2014.In 2024, Clowney played for the NFL's Carolina Panthers and was recently signed by the Dallas Cowboys.
